I figured it was a fair weapon but what i need to know is it RELIABLE. is it prone to jamming and would it be a fair trade for my S&W .357 model 28-2 nickel plated 6in bbl 6 shot stock grips plus 500.00?

Depending on condition, I would guess $500-750. But we'll wait and see what a senior member thinks.

????
The Chinese versions have sold as high as $1800 around here (Eastern PA) a couple years ago.
Haven't seen one for over 2 years now - so the RETAIL is unk to me right now.

Your S&W and $500??? Sounds like it might be a good deal depending upon condition of the RPK. As to reliability - it is in the same class as the AKM (47) only with a longer barrel and usually a bipod fixed on the front. Takes the same magazines, etc.
