Qur'an 4:34: "Good women are obedient...."

One Islamic father killed his daughter for chatting on facebook.

Another loving Islamic dad killed his daughter for not submitting to an arranged marriage.

An honor killing or honour killing(also called a customary killing) is the murder of a member of a family or social group by other members, due to the belief of the perpetrators (and potentially the wider community) that the victim has brought dishonour upon the family or community.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) estimates that perhaps as many as 5,000 women and girls a year are murdered by members of their own families.Many women's groups in the Middle East and Southwest Asia suspect the victims are at least four times more.

On the one hand, this is uncivilized, barbaric, and must be stopped by the world community.

On the other hand, it reduces the number of child-bearing Islamic females - - -

good christian women are obedient to their husbands. the penalty isnt death however

The other side of the equation for a Christian is for a husband to love his wife to the same extent that Christ loved the church: He DIED for it! Any man unwilling to die for his wife should not expect her obedience.

The following is a quote by Winston Churchill from an 1899 book, "The River War" which he wrote describing Muslims he observed:

"The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property - either as a child, a wife, or a concubine - must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men."
He also said of Islam, "No stronger retrograde force exists in the world...they are a militant and proselytizing faith; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science...the civilization of modern Europe might fall."
As far back as 1899, Islam as a religion of peace, was questioned by those who actually observed it first hand.
