I've always assumed that the 10 rd Glock mags had some kind of insert in there to keep it to 10 rds ???
Can the 10 rd Glock 19c mags be converted to whatever they were before the mag restriction ?? I'm a little leary of taking one apart. I've never done it before......... mike gn

I wouldn't even try to convert them. Now that the ban has expired the regular capacity factory mags should be less than 20 bucks.

I remember reading that you're not supposed to use steel mags in a Glock. It causes wear problems or something. That and the site openly says you have to "tinker" with them to get them to work. Not my bag of tea. Thanks anyway though Remmy. mike gn

The first thing I did was to buy a standard capacity G17 mag for my G26.
The second was to put Pearce +1 extensions on my mags. Having a G17 mag stick out the butt does not lend itself to optimal concealability!!!

Punchie is right, I wouldn't fool with 'em, just go buy some standard capacity mags, I'm going to a gun show tomorrow and pick up a couple myself. Heck you may remember about two months ago I went to a gun show and the people that had the standard capacity ( 15 round for my 19 ) mags wanted $110 for them. I offered $30 apeice and was declined, I am hoping that I find them there tomorrow, I may offer $20 now. They even tried to scare me into paying their price by saying the AWB would not expire and that this may be my last chance to get them due to some kinda legislation that would ban any lind of magazine that held more than 10 rounds for ever.

Try the above link. 15 round G19 mags for $19.95. These are factory new LEO mags, which are now civilian legal. I bought two G31 LEO mags from them. If you don't mind used LEO mags, CDNN Investments has them for $14.99. Last edited by Glocker; 10-19-2004 at 02:18 AM.. |
