OH NELLY....

I was talking to Shellback about it and he wants me to trade it for something else... Naw, don't think so.

I like the way the grip fills the gap behind the trigger guard pretty well. My .44 Tracker grip doesn't fill that spot. You have to be really careful not to have the 2nd joint of your middle finger behind the trigger guard when you shoot or you get a nice punch to that joint. It hurts pretty bad...

Nice purchase!

Curious, how does the .41 mag compare to the .44 mag ballistically? Seems like after "Dirty Harry' made the .44 so well known they became more readily available while the .41 is overlooked and less available. Do you have a preference for the .41 for any reason?

Very proud for you..and hope u like shootin it...supposed to be a fine handling gun........

cant help it..dont get sore..love that gun ..but wometimes when I see or read things ....my perverted mind has a way of reaching down thru my arm and itchin my funny bone.....

" picked it up..but no shells"...I guess im just an old poor country boy still but...that just strook me as or same as
" yes sir , I'll take that Mercedes..just put it on that FLat Bed there..and I'll be back next week to get the Wheels when they're in........

And though I know how good that weapon is.as seeing it, knowing the power involved , with that small of a slug to throw...it just reminded me of so many people ive worked with in life that were best described by one of my private nicknames.."educated beyond their means.....

dont get mad I hope.....just got tickled...cause Im crazy anyway............I am indeed proud for you..............

just that when hearing " get shells later " first was afraid that some of OPOTUS laws about quotas went in and have reached OK...TX next.....

Obviously not a defensive weapon as rules of egagement do not allow throwing hands up in firefight and hollering " hey...Im out.....be back thursday.....
ROFLOL....... im sorry...

guess spoiled by DFW and the "wait for nuthin " attitude of shoppers has caused poor merchants to have and eat inventory or too may people go down the road a block.....

anyway...hope I can be proud for you and ease my tension with a personal funny bone hit at same time if not...then U can just shoot me with your brand new gun.........................................next week !......

No real preference for the .41 over the .44... Its just that the guy at the gunshop searched for about 1/2 hour just to find this one. .41s and .44s in 6" barrels are hard to find right about now!!!! Oh they have snubbies and the longer 10" and 12" barrels but that ain't what i wanted.

They didn't tell me ammo for the .41 was scarce when i ordered it... But that's just from their shop. I will call around tomorrow to see what i can find.

I order a good bit of ammo from these guys Mike...

http://georgia-arms.com/

They manufacture their own stuff new. I've been buying from them for a long time and haven't had any problems. They have some cast SWCs and hollow points available for the .41 Mag. I find their deals on Speer Gold Dot hollow points are generally better bargains than their practice ammo.

I just ordered 50 .45 ACP 230 Gr. +P Gold Dots and 50 .40 S&W 155 Gr. +P (light weights for the little Kahr) Gold Dots for only $60 shipped. It took a week for them to ship but that's not bad for the savings...

Use to be, back in the day, having a little lead in the pencil was a good thing.

Glocknut,
You need to start 'growing' your own ammo!

That's a nice looker there Mike! I've been ignoring the board here lately...you been stockin up eh?
I applaud the .41 over .44 choice too even if it's a bit harder to find on the shelf and they're pretty much ballistic twins. You'll just have to start reloading for it next.

I know they'll be milder on the .41 or .44, but that Taurus porting on my 669CP .357 was too much for me. A good stiff slow-burning powder hunting load and that .357 would throw flames skyward like a set of zoomie headers! Not a good one for low-light shooting...but then again the first shot should count too.

GN - that is right purdy. Your little family just keeps growing and growing.

Oh - a little bit of trivia which everyone probably already knows. The star of Dirty Harry was actually a .41 Magnum not a .44.
