TFF server down now and then? - The Firearms Forum

is it just me, or does the TFF server go down once in awhile, usually only for a few minutes... ??

We got a message from our tech staff that there were some server issues. There were some problems found in all PHP versions, and so a new version was released. Once they installed it, there were some "bugs" to work out on this board. But they claim to have it running properly now. Perhaps that's what you've been experiencing, is momentary lapses while they upgrade. It seems like a minor problem and nothing to worry about.

I wonder if this is the same issue Brand X was having, and perhaps their tech staff is having a harder time fixing the "bugs". That might explain their downtime.

maybe.. I'm not sure if they use the same forum software.. it looks slightly similar.

I tried getting on once more before I went to bed this morning around 1:00am , and it was down.

I too have had intermitent trouble, but I was just blaming it on my computer which needs to be thrown out in the trash because of all the issues it has.

Sniper, Just a heads up, I caught a brief news blurb on the radio the other morning about a new Virus that was aimed at servers. Suppose to be a Trojan variety that has exceptional abilities to get past Firewalls and Security software.
Pay-per-view executions of the people that do this should be mandatory!

Salvage, Check your computer settings. You shouldn't have had a problem this afternoon.
