Hey guys, I'm looking for info on a Frank Dozerman(sp?) that was at the Tet Offensive in Way(sp?) Gentleman I work with wanted to find out some info on him and I can't seem to find anything on the Virtual Wall. Can any of you help?
What info I do have is that this fella is responsible for saving a lot of fellas that day and was KIA. Later on he (my friend) said the compound was renamed in Frank's honor.
Can you help?
Bree

Bree...it might help if you knew what unit he was in. Then do a search of that unit. I think the city/area you refer to is Hue.

Good morning Bree and Larry--just opened my e-mail and there were several things there that maybe of assistance in directing your search Bree--I'll cut and paste them , also fwd the actual msg's to you. I was in I Corp area during TET--we were north of Hue at Dong Ha--ironically the Camp I was stationed at was named after my friend Donnie that I had just written about yesterday--he had been KIA up on the DMZ at Gio Linh--building bunkers for the Marines. Make the day memorable for you and yours--Wilborn.

Bree,

If you know your friend Frank Dozerman (sp) has his name on the wall, I recemmend the following web site -

www.no-quarter.org

If you are not sure of the spelling of his last name, just leave it out, but be sure to fill in something in as many of the other three categories as possible. The results will be listed alphabetically. Then look for someone named "Frank" with a last name close to "Dozerman".

The four categories are:

1.Last Name
2.Branch of Service
3.Home Town
4.State

Good Luck,

Bree,

I found a link off the no-quarter.org web site that lists names in alphabetical order. On this list, I found a Frank DOEZEMA, Jr., who died January 31, 1968. Could this be your friend?

The site is called The Wall on the Web

Hope this helps,

Hey Stan,
Check your mail. Thanks for the help. I did find him. The spelling was wrong.
