Can anyone tell me or tell me where I can find info. on the case lengths and OAL of the cartridge on the Creedmoor? BTW, any other info. you may have would be appreciated.

You are a good man Jack!!!!!!!!!!!! I got my new T/C Icon yesterday in 6.5 Creedmoor and all I can say is WOW! I have a Millett 4-16X56 mil-dot on it and if it shoot half as good as it looks and feels it is going to be fantastic. Again thanks Jack and I hope you have a great day.

Using 140 gr. Hornady A-Max it shot several sub 1/2 MOA groups right out of the box. I ordered a case length gauge from Lee at 1.920, but when the Hornady Manual came in yesterday it shows the trim length as 1.910. Sooo I ordered another one at that length. Not a problem though. I should have waited until the manual arrived. Will let you know about reloads as soon as I can get to the range (woods), but snowing today.

Just curious, is the 6.5 Creedmoor the same cartridge as the 6.5 Grendel?

The short answer is no, but they do resemble one another. I believe the Grendel is shorter in case length. That is about all I can tell you. My buddy has wanted one as long as I have the Creedmoor and I laugh and tell him why would anyone one a Grendel. I do however understand they have alot of good things to say about them.

Thanks Gene. I was also very impressed by reports on the Grendel when the army was testing it. It seemed like the perfect military round and I would have loved an AR chambered for it. But the cost of the ammo is prohibitive and I don't reload. Also there's the fact that more AR producers have not offered the caliber makes me fear it will just fade away into obscurity.
