Default Winchester 71 .348cal

Can anyone give me an approx value of a v.g.c Win 71 in 348 cal,little used before 1965 then placed in protected storage till now.Have someone interested in it,but have no idea as to what would be a fair price for both parties.

W/o pictures it's hard to say. Lately, I've seen them sell for around $1000-$1250 for the standard model & seen $2500-$3000 listed on pristine deluxe models. (w/o selling)

I would agree with one exception and that is because your gun has a factory installed bolt peep site and that alone would bring those values up by at least three hundred dollars. Assuming no recoil pad has been added which would hurt its value. I would opine that you have an $1500.00 standard grade model 71 all day long.

Thanks everyone for your help,much appreciated.I am selling it for £750 sterling which includes a new set of dies,100 new cases.& 100 new jkt bullets,to a interested party in Germany,so it looks as if he will be well pleased with the transaction.I wish it could have gone back to its original home,but it seems impossible these days to purchase from the USA or send anything to itanymore.
