The SA Champion is a fine pistol. I owned one years ago and never had any problems with it.

Mines not stainless. I have what started out as a GI WWII Champion. It was parkerized and plane jane, and I bought it, new in box, dirt cheap. It looked like the first picture when new.
Then I decided to make a few changes to make it more to my liking, and I really like how my project gun turned out. I prtformed all the work myself other than reparkerixing and milling the slide for the new sights. It is my daily carry, extremely accurate and has never had any malfunctions in over 3000 rounds.

How much is "dirt cheap"? GI model goes for about 450.00 around here.
