I have a Hiugh Standard SUPERMATIC .22 cal. pistol.Model s-101,S N 556808, Could someone tell me the year it was made? Some how my posting yesterday got deleted.

indicates 1955. Simple web search for 'high standard serial numbers'. I have a model 106 Supermatic Citation made about 10 years later - real shooter.

556,808 shipped as a catalog number 9119 on 7/14/1956 to account number 7080 on invoice number 3149.

The referenced chart lists gun by the highest serial number for a year.
