Default H&R Model 922 Serial Number N10149

I was just wondering some info on the history of this weapon. I recieved it from my Grandfather when I was 12 with a story that he took it off of a German soldier during WWII. Any info would be greatly appriciated.

The N prefix was used in 1953, WWII was over in 1945. Unless that German soldier had access to a time machine your Gramps did not get in WWII.

And any German with half a bit of sense woulda tossed a 922 for a beat up Luger in a hearbeat.

922 is still a fun shooting little revolver; in good condition, worth around $90-100. In exc cond around $150.

I think H&R was always in Maine!

Well Gramps could always tell a good story, that's ok. But as real monetary value goes the gun is priceless to me because it was passed down from him.

I keep it clean and oiled and when I want to go shoot a .22, I really like my Beretta U22 Neos, it's a sweet shootin .22
