Very interesting. But what I don't get is, if they're here illegally, why are they still here? Do we need them to do the jobs that Americans don't want? I don't think so. I know where to find a lot of Americans that would be happy to have any job.
More tax revenues? They're illegal. Why would they pay taxes?
Yes, kick them all out. And change some of the stupid laws concerning them! Ya can't even go to Mickey D's without an interpreter any more.
I'll shut up, now. Still half asleep.

Kick them all out.

Deporting them will cure so many of our burdens. Jobs, healthcare, crime, over population of schools, housing shortages, language issues, etc.

One simple thing, so many things accomplished.

It isn't simple, or else it would have been done. It is like the current drug problem and the past alcohol prohibition in the country. Most of the problem is the demand. People want them (cheap labor, drugs, booze) so they are going to get them or help others get them.

It burns my butt to hear someone talk about the undocumented immigrant that works so hard and is a law abiding member of society. Illegal aliens by their very existence in the country are not law abiding. But some people are too dense or lack the integrity to admit it.

So true, so utterly clear, why can't some people see it?

Legalize Pot and Tax it.
First you have to find a way to road side testing to see if someone should be driving.
Most DUI's are based on .08 what is it for pot.

Count me out of wasting my tax dollars on that. To expensive and will not work. There isn't a wall built that has kept people in or out of a country yet. The most wasteful activities ever dreamed up were the pyramids in Egypt and the wall in China. Unless we are willing to make and operate a wall like the commies had in East Germany, any wall will not do much to stop the flow of illegals into the country.

Ever watch Penn and Teller's xxx? It is on the Showtime channel. They have had excellent shows on firearms and the RKBA. They went out into the desert and had a small group of illegal's build a wall; allegedly to government specifications. It was chain link, partly under ground with barbed wire on top. Then they demonstrated how they could go over, under and through it. And unless we are willing to ring the entire country with a wall, they could go around it.

You inserted text into a quote window attributed to me. Please take it out and do not do that again.

It seems that every forum on the internet has some jackasses who think their crap does not stink. It is obvious to the most casual observer that you are one of them.

Instead of an apology and edit after you inserted text into a quote attributed to me, I get your "Yes sir!" crap. Keep posting and forget decent behavior, it will do this forum some good I'm sure.

Correct! I should have said, "Welcome to the forum! It's a civil place, despite our sometimes clumsy fingers and editing skills, and very opinionated, passionate beliefs!"

Is modifying another member's post acceptable? It appears that there are at least three people posting in this thread that think so or are not willing to discourage it. Jackass is not a name, it is a description. I stand by my description of red14.

Um, I meant the "jackasses" part....I stick around this forum because we don't call names, either within the forum or when speaking of other forums' members.

So how much time on the pond do I need before I can behave in a shameful manner and expect my fellow forum members tell me my sh-t doesn't stink? This is not a rhetorical question.

Look, we don't curse here, and we don't call names. If you had read the guidelines of this forum you would know that. Frankly, you have started out kind of abrasive here.

I see. I will stop calling red14 and his supporters jackasses then. What adjective should I use when referring to a forum member who feels he needs to modify another person's post to get his point across? Advanced senior member just sounds too nice for someone with his juvenile behavior.

Are you willing to concede that red14's behavior is unacceptable or just rag on me because I am calling an ill-mannered person something you do not like?

The word I used was not a curse. It was the name of an animal. If it fits, he should wear it. You are going after the wrong person here.

I want to hear it from you. Is what red14 did acceptable here?
