Default Oathkeepers

Opinions of this group and their mission. I'm a bit fed up and what I read about them appeals to me.

I am a member, and they are just what they appear to be. A group of men, and women, that have taken the oath to defend the constitution. They are Police, Military, Firemen, and any others that taken the same oath. Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and we will not obey unconstitutional (and thus illegal) and immoral orders, such as orders to disarm the American people or to place them under martial law and deprive them of their ancient right to jury trial. Their goal is to remind those that have taken the Oath, that they have sworn to defend the Constitution. http://oathkeepers.org/oath/about/

5. Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
16. The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

I know several LEO's that are Oathkeepers.

Excellent men, every one of them.

Of course. I joined the Army and went active in 1969. I assume the oath I took then is the one you are mentioning.

I am a member. They probably wont get it right every time, what organization does? But they believe in the constitution and thats good enough for me. They want to make certain the law enforcement and military wont follow obozo or anyone for that matter off the cliff with unconstitutional orders. They can use your support.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (now merged with Dept. of Homeland Security) considers the Oathkeepers to be potential "terrorists", just like military veterans.

I don't know if the federal gov't is planning to take this to extremes, but it's already gone over the line when peace officers and military vets are viewed as enemies of the state.

Perhaps it's time to choose sides, and the right choice is obvious.

If you have never revoked that oath, then you are still beholding to it. I took it to, I have never renounced it, and I still support it! Just like you, and all the members of Oathkeepers.
