On bird’s head grip & good leather -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I’m looking at the Ruger Vaquero w/ the bird’s head grip to be a companion gun for my new 7.5” Blackhawk. Doe’s anyone have any experience with the new bird’s head grip? I know it’s not completely historically correct, but neither is the transfer bar in Rugers. I am also looking for a new rig for both pistols. The bird’s head probably in a cross draw position. I’m not looking for fancy floral, just a quality cowboy/ field rig. Any suggestions on manufactures? -Rich shooter45 us *TFF Chief Of Staff* Posts: 1461 (5/10/02 4:10:48 pm) Reply | Edit | Del Re: ? That board is full of Ruger experts and they are no strangers to the birds head grip. The short version: Fine gun, grips handle recoil very well. OH, and tell them I sent you.
