Default Bush at Ft. Hood

I don't know the validity of this story but my friend fowarded me this e-mail:

Quote:
I sent my cousin in Fayetteville , N.C. (retired from Special Forces) that picture of Geo. W. visiting the wounded at Ft. Hood .. I got this reply:

[When] George W. Bush heard about Fort Hood, got in his car without any escort, apparently they did not have time to react, and drove to Fort Hood. He was stopped at the gate and the guard could not believe who he had just stopped. Bush only ask for directions to the hospital then drove on. The gate guard called that "The president Is on Fort Hood and driving to the hospital." The base went bananas looking for Obama. When they found it was Bush they immediately offered escort and Bush simply told them to shut up and let him visit the wounded and the dependents of the dead. He stayed at Fort Hood for over six hours and was finally asked to leave by a message from the White House. Obama flew in days later and held a "photo " session in a gym and did not even go to the hospital. All this I picked up from two soldiers here who happened to be at Fort Hood when it happened.

This Bush/Obama/Ft.Hood story is something that should be sent to every voter in the US .

Class shows up...

The doctor had his tv on in his office when the news of the military base shootings came on. The husband of one of his employees was stationed there.

He called her into his office and as he told her what had happened, she got a text message from her husband saying, "I am okay." Her cell phone rang right after she read the message. It was an ER nurse,"I'm the one who just sent you a text, not your husband. I thought it would be comforting but I was mistaken in doing so. I am sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been shot 4 times and he is in surgery."

The soldier's wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan and drove all night to Ft.Hood. When she arrived, she found out her husband was out of surgery and would be OK. She rushed to his room and found that he already had visitors there to confort him. He was just waking up and found his wife and the visitors by his side The nurse took this picture.

What? No news crews and cameras? This is how people with class respond and pay respect to those in uniform.

The account above is substantially true, except for some of the facts being embellished. See the comments on truth or fiction below.

I got a lot of disagreements with W but he is a man of integrity and class. These characteristics are woefully lacking in Washington D.C.

Not many people thought of G W bush as an "HONORABLE MAN" when he was in office. Everyone, as I recall, was bashng him for dragging down the nation and starting two unwinnable wars and destroying the economy. And now since we have a 'change' in the administration in washington, and things are going from bad to worse, Bush is, all of a sudden an Honorable man? Hardly.

Personally, I think that Bush, and his father were both GOOD and HONORABLE men. That's hard to do with the liberal pro-Democratic media hounding one ceaselessly. Neither brought disgrace to the office unlike past (and current) Democrat Presidents.

Did I agree wit everything G.W. did.....NO! Do I believe him to be a good and honorable man (with class)....absolutely. Never thought of questioning that fact.

George Bush loved his military and they loved him. He may have failed in 100 other areas, but he had a sincere heart for the men and women of the military. When he believed in something, he didnt waiver no matter what. I appreciate someone with that quality. He is 100 times the man than the current bozo.

Honor is earned, not bought. No president in my memory could be termed honorable, IMO. All buy there way through political life by calling in favors, lying, cheating and stealing. That is not an honorable life. Show me a person that does not lie, cheat or steal and does what they promise and they will be honorable. However, since there are none of that class, then honorable should not be used. Some presidents are just less crooked than others, but certainly not honorable.
