4 miles from my home. 2 miles from seymour fish and game. on 67.
odds are youll go up 84 at waterbury, and down 67 in southbury, right? faster is 8 to beacon falls, 42 west to oxford center....67w to turn off for airport. |

8 to seymour to 67 west has 10 lights and you end up the same place 8 to beacon falls to 42w to 67 goes. 42 goes up and over the mountain and misses seymour.
saves you all the seymour traffic. |

the turn off for the airport is just before the super high voltage high wires cross over 67. if you go past the diary farm on 67, you missed it.
hey beth! youll be in my home town area! |

not far. maybe 4 miles? im guessin now.
take the exit off 8 at beacon falls. itll spill you into the main drag of beacon falls. go right. follow the road along the river and cross the river at the bridge over naugy, about 2 miles out of town. start up the hill. youll come to a 4 way with an old abandoned school house. go straight past a factory. keep going up. watch the hairpin turn at the big tree. go up the hill more. left at the t. 500 yards, stop and turn right. (if you were to go straight at that stop sign, 1000 yds down on the left is seymour fish and game range.) but follow the 42 signs down the hill. it will spill into 67. go right. im not good at distances, but youll be closer than going thru seymour. when you are on top of the mountain on 42 at the t, that 500 yd stretch of 42 to the left is actually part of chesnut tree hill rd. 42 goes right...c.t. hill rd goes straight.
you now know where my stompin grounds are. click this link. it will give you a birdseye of the roads around seymour fish and game. youll see 42. follow it from end to end. http://www.claytargetsonline.com/club.php/329 Last edited by bobski; 06-22-2012 at 09:22 PM.. |

Hope it works out Beth! My reunion with my sister several years ago was strained, neither of us saw reason to contact the other afterward. There was no fight or fuss, just nothing in common to talk about. Our lives are 180 degrees apart and she has no interest in the rest of the family, so there just wasn't anything to say....

I had my wife's brother up a few weeks back, he's a big Dem and none of her brothers ever liked having a gun owning Republican that would argue with them married all these years to their sis, and then I drug her off to Alaska on top of everything else.
Her bro & me have always been on such tenuous terms that he even booked a B&B in our community, ha ha. I put an end to that and made him stay at our place or he wasn't gonna see the kids or anything, ha ha. Her bro always been a heavy boozer, so I had my nephew bring up a couple cases of Makers Mark. My bro-in-law did a fifth a day or better and we had a great time and I didn't even have to drink myself to take him, ha ha. I just made sure there was always a couple fifths settin out on the kitchen bar. I actually can't wait until he comes back; I've never been able to say that ever in my life. So whenever you have one of those hard to get along with relatives visit, make sure you have lots of whiskey to humor him with, no joke. |

well i went to airport to see where it was so i could pick him up the next day he calls says he rented a car and will be over in awhile? Did not see his plane so i will have him send me a picture. Things went really good he has relaxed a lot then i went and got a box of pictures that i had not looked at in 25 years and he picked out what he wanted had pictures of him in Korea and all over that my mom had. Some of the pictures neither one of us could figure out who they were? I declined a ride in his plane but i really should have gotten the guts to go. we went out for drinks and dinner and just brought up old stuff that happened i was fine till he left then broke down probably never see him again he is 75 and pure white hair

Well Beth, like I tell my cousins in Ohio, the planes fly both directions. I know; I've done it.
![]() Really glad the time went well and you had a good time. Did you get pictures of him (and you together)? I know about the pictures thing. Last edited by BlackEagle; 06-26-2012 at 02:28 PM.. |
