This was written by a black gentleman in Texas and is so funny. What a great sense of humor and creativity!!!

When I was born, I was BLACK,

When I grew up, I was BLACK,

When I went in the sun, I stayed BLACK,

When I got cold, I was BLACK,

When I was scared, I was BLACK ,

When I was sick, I was BLACK,

And when I die, I'll still be BLACK.

NOW, you 'white' folks....

When you're born, you're PINK,

When you grow-up, you're WHITE,

When you go in the sun, you get RED ,

When you're cold, you turn BLUE ,

When you're scared, you're YELLOW,

When you get sick, you're GREEN,

When you bruise, you turn PURPLE,

And when you die, you look GRAY.

So who y'all callin' COLORED folks

Of course, the young'uns won't remember why the term, "colored" was used instead of "black" or as they said around where I lived, "niggaroes". That's because if you weren't white, you were colored. There wasn't any long list of boxes to check including things like, "aleuts and pacific islanders"; it was really simple, only two boxes: white and not-white. And if you were of Arab or Sephardic Jewish, or even darker Italian or Greek, you were not white.

I am sooo White, Rice looks colored next to me. My family came over from Waaaaay back from merry old England, of Nortic stock. and we were here an established before there was a USA or government for that matter..

from a biblical point of view we are all the same race, we all started from two people Adam and Eve. when one genetic anomaly (I.E. slanted eyes or dark skin) stays isolated it only takes one generation to eliminate the the other traits . Or said another way it only takes one generation to and that one trait is dominate.
There was a study done and I can not cite the source but they actually traced all races back to one females genome, Eve........

makes the whole color thing irrelevant.
