If all you're going to be doing is paper-punching or plinking tin cans, JHPs are a pretty spendy way to go.
Light loads (less than 1000 fps) and lead SWCs are far less expensive, just as accurate (in fact, more so), have less recoil, and are just as much fun. Do you have any reloading books? I would highly recommend these three: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...e&s=books&st=* |

Yep, I'd stick with a 240gr LSWC with 6.5 gr of Unique. Just my opinion.
Here's the Nosler manual. Nosler Reloading Manual Already told him about the 48th Lyman book!

Congrats, kar298. You will find the book very enjoyable. It will give you a lot of information and reloading data. Happy early birthday!

Yes, I size all my cast bullets as .429. Usually .430 won't hurt, but will raise pressures some. Not to worry.
Good luck.
