Emailed the following to the Glenn Beck's executive producer. Glenn was quoting the original press release about the H.S. gangs swinging railroad ties.
**** Sent: Tuesday, September 29, 2009 6:23 PM To: 'me@glennbeck.com' Subject: railroad ties Tonight 29 Sep 2009 Glenn showed the repugnant video of the crime in Chicago and quoted the early press release that they were swinging railroad ties. That is laughable! You can take this to the bank: there is no frigign way they were able to lift and let alone swing a railroad tie. I was born in raised in a coal mining town in Western Pa with members of the community who worked their entire life in the mines. There is no way they would have been swinging a railroad tie; 8-1/2’ long, 9” wide, and 7” thick timber, saturated with creosote. Whoever released the initial reports that the high school kids were swinging railroad ties, was smoking dope! Maybe 2x6’s but not railroad ties. dang just noticed, I posted in the incorrect forum.. I am sure the admin will move to correct forum.

It looked like either a landscape timber or 4X4. I agree, swinging a railroad tie is absurd.

A railroad wood tie has got to weigh at least 75-100 lbs. That's a lot of wood to be swinging, IMO.
Time to lock and load! |

Right now 99 percent of the railroad ties in the US are still wood and each ones weighs approximately 200 pounds. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...2185705AAbG902 |

The kids, the parents, the politicians and activists that keep these kids and their families in 'no consequences' mode or might you be talking about the pieces of wood?...
![]() ![]() Hey, it's an honest question... ![]() That's a sad story all around. It's primarily sad when you think that there are kids out there who are really this stupid and violent. ![]()

Yeah, and they're growing up to be Democrat voters.
