Well I haven't even taken possession of my DPMS AR15 and I'm already becoming a convert. I'll have to admit, I never really saw the attraction that people have to these "Black" guns. I guess I was a snob. I've shot a few, they were nice, but now that I've ordered one and I've talked to several people about changing the upper and having a different rifle. I'm sold. The possibilities are endless. I can buy several lowers here in California and then buy upperS anywhere I want to. It's trivial I know, but it makes me feel like I'm getting over on the system, giving California anti gun law makers the finger for their ridiculous laws. I feel a new sense of freedom. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

I say this all the time but there's a reason it's one of the top rifles used by military's accross the globe. It ROCKS!!!

so many options in one gun.

it can be a pistol (sort of)
a super short to carbine length entry gun or CQB gun
a standard carbine to rifle length gun for hunting, patrolling, plinking, competition etc
a rifle to long length sniper system
many different calibers
any optic you can dream of
rails to attach other cool stuff like lights, lasers, sling mounts, bipods, etc...

modular happiness..

not to mention the fire controls are the easiest/fastest to manipulate

and...

magazines are high capacity and stack well in pouches

AR bug has claimed another...

now let me tell you about Glocks....

Plastic guns make me nervous. That would be a very hard sell.

Be careful in this area and check your laws. I don't know about the left coast but here in Tn when you purchase a lower, it goes in the "bound book" as either a pistol OR rifle. Whichever you decide. I assume it's a BATF&E thing and if recorded as a rifle, I wouldn't want to be removing the stock and slapping on a 10 inch upper.
