I'm waiting for someone in the administration to make the mistake of trying to defend Fast and Furious by taking the position that the program was not responsible for Brian Terry's death, that it was the fault of the drug cartel folks who attacked him. None surprise me at all except Utah #2 and not a bit lower but I've talked to friends that say a lot of Utah college students have CCW permits.

Actually, that list doesn't mean anything.

First, it's the states that had the most call-ins in a two year period.

Most states, if you have a carry permit, a call-in is not required. So, Utah, for example, had 30,000 call-ins per 100,000 residents, but might have had another 150,000 people with permits buying, with no call-in required, so they are not on the list.

And then there are the states like Florida, who don't use NCIS, but instead use their own system (Florida calls FDLE - Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement), so they aren't on the list.
