Default DONT FORGET YOUR PETS

in this hot weather. make sure they have plenty of fresh water. i even add ice to sadie and sunnies water pan. i also buy the cheap chicken & pork hot dogs and keep them in the freezer to give them for a cold snack ( PUPSICLE).
but then again my dogs are in the basement from 8 am to 8 pm where it is a cool 72*
when they have to be left outside they each have their own tub (20"w.X3'L.X18"d) filled with water plus a 2 gallon water pan for drinking and an insulated house to go in under shade trees

We have a large size dog door that opens to our fenced back yard. All year round, both cats and both dogs use it. In the cool months, I go out with the dogs and hang out in the hammock..they play.

Now, when I go out with them, they stand at the dog door as soon as I go out and wait for me. We're out, maybe, 2 minutes. If I don't go back in, they leave me there by myself.

They don't know what air conditioning is, but..they know something just ain't right.

My wife was asking me what I was doing last week. I hung a box fan to blow where my huskie mix has a spot wallered out beneath the boat. I would let the dogs in but they don't like to be indoors, think they are going to miss a squirrel or black bird stealing the food....

I went a step farther, I had the fan, but it was blowing hot air, so I bought a mister to go in front of the fan. I also bought a childs swimming pool for them so they could roll in some water if they wanted to.
