TFF North Texas Gathering - Hillsboro - The Firearms Forum

Gentlemen,

It appears we have made a site selection. Hillsboro on March 7, 2009.

I suggest we meet at the KOA campground campground in West, TX, which is 9 miles south of Hillsboro around 8:30 am so we can travel to the range together. Better yet, get there Friday night for a campfire meeting.

from bluesea112 :If you decide to meet here, DO NOT MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS ONLINE. It will charge you the regular rate. Just call me directly 817-706-1370 and I will block off a section of the campground just for us on that weekend.

I will make breakfast tacos for Saturday morning. Eggs, sausage, potatos, cheese & salsa in a warm tortilla.

Let us know who is coming, how many in your party and if you'll be there for breakfast.

We will need to decide what we will do for lunch and supper.

Come on boys, let's lock and load.

I'd sure like to be there but I'll have to wait to see what work does. I never know till bout Wednesday of each week if I willbe working the weekend or not. If I can get away I'll be there.

Those breakfast tacos sure sound good. I will see if i can talk the wife into a big batch of homemade tamales for lunch or something. Im pretty excited and looking forward to meeting yall.

I am curious about motels also. I still don't know if I will be able to make it yet. Next week really screws up things for me with Mardi Gras. Deliveries and schedules all out the window. I have a project that I have to finish by the 28 or I get hit with liquidated damages. But we shall see.

crpdeth, only intended for handle on tags...word name takin space cause some of these handle's gonna would require the spacing....was just wondering on owners OK , per legal branding issues. Probably better not to do...anyone want to know who someone is they can ask.

I don't work, so if there are no Dr.'s appointments, the wife and I will be there Friday. I will be making some Biker's Stew (chilie, and beef stew) over rice, if anyone wants some. Would like to get a cabin also, or motel. We can camp if we have to.

From Dallas/Fort Worth take I-35 south to Exit #355. After you exit turn left and go back over I-35. Then turn right on the service road. The campground is on your left about 1/4 mile. There is a big yellow KOA sign in front.

From Austin, take I-35 North to exit #354. After you exit I-35, stay on the service road 1.6 miles. You will see the yellow KOA sign on your right.

P.S. I forgot to mention that there is a hotel in West. It is 50% higher priced than some of the places farther away, but It is less than 2 miles from the campground straight down the service road. It is called the Czech Inn of West. Phone number for the hotel is as follows:

The only other hotels are in Belmead. Belmead is a suberb on the north side of Waco. Belmead hotels are 17 minutes from the campground, straight down I-35.
