How would the "Fairness Doctrine" work. What if Rush Limbaugh described himself as a liberal democrat, but put out his same views? Would "fairness" demand that a "conservative republican" be put on to balance him out?
All three major networks and cnn slant to the liberal/democrat side. Most of the major newspapers also slant that way. Yet they want to only impose the "fairness doctrine" on talk radio. The one media outlet they don't control. They had a liberal radio network "air America". People voted with their ears, and tuned it out. I would listen to it on occasion to hear another point of view. Their hosts ranged from angry and vicious such as Randi Rhodes to just down right goofy in the form of Al Frankin.
