I've been offered a Walther P38 9mm for $400. Gun has one magazine and original WWII holster. Serial no. is 6363 c followed by ac 44. All parts seem to have matching serial numbers and I understand the "44" is the year it was made. As it was toward the end of the war, I can see that the machine work on all parts is rough. Does this impact performance? I would estimate blueing at about 80 pertent. Is this pistol worth $400? Any help would be greatly appreciated

This is a Walther made P38, and you are correct that it was made in 1944. The price you mention is very cheap for such a pistol, especially since it has a holster. I would estimate this rig is worth at least $600 to $700. Buy it.
