Have you noticed that revolvers are becoming as hard to find as hens teeth?
That is if your looking for anything other than a snub nose. My Brother is looking for a S&W 686 38/357mag or a Ruger Red Hawk 357mag Anyone got one up for adoption? Thanks ![]()

Some dealers tend to stock only what is popular. Others tend to stock what they personally like. My favorite dealers are the ones who stock tons of stuff.
Around me, Gander Mountain is the best place to check if you're looking for something in particular. They're not the cheapest, but they have the widest selection.

New, no there isn't a whole lot out there. Used I've been seeing more but you have to jump on them b/c they go fast.

Go here http://www.rossiusa.com/product-list.cfm?category=1
Rossi makes a fine revolver based on the Smith design. I've had a M88 for about 14 years and have dropped thousands of rounds through it. It still looks and functions like new. I've owned a few other Rossis over the years and regret getting rid of them. I would put any of them up against a Smith any day without hesitation. The current R97 series compares to a Smith 586/686.

I doubt it. Taurus makes Rossi, and S&W grips don't fit Taurus.

I tried the Taurus grips and they don't work. I am looking for wood grips with finger grooves for a Rossi M88

Around here, it's the opposite. I went to the gun show last weekend looking for a snub-nose .357 or .22 mag and there was only 1 in the entire show. Whereas it seemed like every other table had a stack of single and double-action long barrels.

I usually do my research and go to my gun guy and let him order it for me. I just picked up a S&W model 40.
