In the last stage of interviewing for my current job (which was before the entire board of directors), one of the men asked me if I owned any guns. I told him that yes, I have several. His response: "Good, then we won't have to get you one."
I like my job and my board. ![]()

I asked years ago and was granted permission to carry at work , recently we got new " employee handbooks" they stated no unauthorized firearms in the building or in your vehicle, I refused to sign the paper, the boss pulled me to the side and asked if I had an issue with the new rules I said I had an issue with the firearms portion, he said the book says "no unauthorized firearms" I told you that it was ok for you to carry here that makes it "authorized" so yeah long story short I carry at work !

I didn't take a gun to work yesterday, but practically everyone in San Diego did!
I'm sure you've all seen the current manhunt on the news for the cop-killer.. That was my base that was invaded by every local and federal law enforcement team yesterday.

Glad to see so many able to carry on the job, we can never be too careful with the doom and gloom of today's time.

It is prohibited at work and in parking lot. Termination if caught with or seen with one in my posession while on work property.
![]() Strictly enforced, especially during hunting season.

When I 1st started my job I carried a buck knife in my back pocket. I carried this most of my life. My manager saw me open a box with it and freaked out. He made me take it out and put it in my car. I work in the field so he had no idea what I had most of the time.
I have been with my manager for almost 15 years and he wouldn't care if I carried anything anymore. Back then I worked in some of the baddest neighborhoods in Chicago. I was pretty upset that they expected me to go into these areas without even a pocket knife for protection. That buck knife saved my butt one day. I have carried a razor knife since.

I agree. Since that time my manager and I have become good friends. He wouldn't care if I carried an AR-15 now. I had to break him in.

The oil and gas company I work for has a no firearm policy. I wish they would change it but big companies are pretty set in their ways.

Right now, there is a .40 M&P in his desk drawer, a S&W 99 .40 in my coat hanging behind me, and a snub .38 in, I assume, her (the daughter's) purse.
Monday, the Boss was in his office calling the State reps about the gun bills up for a vote, and the week before he was yelling at another one about the Sequester nonsense. He listens to the NRA network on his computer all the time. So you could say I have it made here.

Company I work for has a no firearms policy. I have a written exemption to said policy. Mostly because I am the guy the alarm company calls if it goes off at night, secondly because I do most of the firearms repairs for the owners of the company.

There is a written policy on firearms at work. No firearms allowed inside the workplace. But, I can have it in my car and, being a very small workplace where all the guys are gun enthusiats, we do have show-n-tell frequently.
But, to carry... no.

I work for a fairly small company in a small town so everyone knows everyone. I carry and my boss carries. I'm the guy they call up front if someone is "acting up" and they need some Meat on the counter. LOL!
We talk guns fairly often in my office and most all of my friends are L/E and guns are us ![]() |
