Default Obama Gun Industry Arrests

http://www.infowars.com/obama-justic...tend-gun-show/

I guess they were trying to sell illegal guns to what they thought was some African country, when the guy who was the sales agent to this African country was an undercover FBI agent. This is what we need to stop. These companies from doing stuff like this. This is exactly why people like Obama want to take our guns away. The actions of a few ruin it for the people like us and the other law abiding people that are playing by the rules.

The indictments allege that the defendants engaged in a scheme to pay bribes to the minister of defense for a country in Africa but the alleged sales agent was in reality an undercover FBI agent. This was their crime! They tried to pad the sell, and make some money on the kick back.

One was a VP of Sales at S&W who agree to increase the price so he could kick back to the agent doing the buying. He should be arrested if that is true. One never knows what the truth is with an Eric Holder "Justice Dept.".

I was just saying that people like this - like the VP guy at S&W - who are willing to do illegal arms sales, etc, should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. These are the people who just make us law abiding gun owners and 2A advocates look bad.

In a great many parts of the world, a bribe to the purchasing agent is required if you want to do business. It isn't right, but that's how it is. If US businesses are not allowed to do business in other parts of the world by their local rules, we are not competitive.

Now, can anyone tell me how Obama 'buying' Senators vote with our money is not a felony worht the FBIs attention?

Why/How is this different when it concerns a congressman who agrees to obomba care and gets a big kickback for his state?

This goes on every day in the business world.

Amen!!

This has me toasted.

My Senator can take a $300,000,000 bribe for her vote on a bill that over 65% of Americans do not want. But some private citizen can't make a business deal.

Color it B.S. brown.

How much of this was a Set Up, Nothin will push your anti gun agenda than some corporate scandle. Smith & Wessson is the most widely reconized american gun company world wide. I dont buy this one bit. This has set up all over it. This is the begining and there will be more and for it to be with Africa is just as ironic with all the Pirate activities and Human rights violations.

It was a Government sting run by the FBI.
The whole thing was a set up.

I think you're seeing a flagrant attempt to paint the gun industry in a harsh light. Anyone who has worked with an international corporation has been taught that bribery is a harsh and expected business practice in some nations. Most corrupt and/or undeveloped nations see bribery as a standard way of doing business. I don't believe these gun manufacturers behaved any differently than other industries. I've never seen it happen, and have worked for employers that actively educate their associates about the practice and how to avoid it. College business classes teach this openly, and international corporations warn their employees about the practice.

The defendants allegedly agreed to pay a 20 percent commission to a sales agent who the defendants believed represented the minister of defense of an African country in order to win a portion of a $15 million sale to outfit the country’s presidential guard.

I dont know but a commission may not be a bribe.

Anyhow did I not read that it took over 2 years and 250 FBO agents, I mean FBI agents to sting these guys? Lets see a 1800 pistol order for the presidential guard, was that who it was for? Gee thank God it wasn't like that movie with Arnold Schwsinigger where they were selling EMP guns. But it was worth it I guess to lock up these bad bad people. I am so glad the FBO, there I go again I mean FBI has the resources to spend 2 1/2 years with 250 agents chassing these guys. I know we are in good hands now!

The "bribes" are all a part of doing business with 3rd world countries. Where do you think we'd be in Iraq and Afghanistan w/o em? Unlike what bho just did with the "cornhusker kickback", etc....this was a corporate deal by private business, not a government bribe with our tax $$$, to pay for a health care system that we don't want. This is all about demonizing the gun industry, along with the UN small arms treaty "the bitch" just signed and the Austin gun show being busted. If you think it is about anything but that, you'd better wake up and may as well give me your guns before the government gets em anyway.

Interesting to see so much detrius from the south end of an northbound bull........

All of these "small businessmen" - and that's what they are per USG definition - are being prosecuted for violating the Carter-era FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act ).

The Carter Administration unilaterally declared the practice of U.S. companies paying "bribes" (their term) to individuals/corporations in order to secure foreign business contracts "illegal". What this ignores is these "middleman payoffs" are an accepted - indeed honored - practice in most of the world. Its one major reason why so many U.S. corporations doing a global business have moved "offshore". But hardly a "practical" solution for the small businesses in the arms/accessories market where employee counts often total less than 100 individuals. \

Of course this didn't stop the Obama/Holder DOJ from creating a "hasty sting" to nail these serious miscreants ! The same people, BTW, that "couldn't make a case" against the New Black Panthers on voter intimidation - despite confirming video evidence - that have refused to serve Congressional suponeas on involved DOJ investigators........

Seems like a rather "thin" smokescreen to me !! OTOH, it also serves as an blatent threat to the "Gun Culture". I'm certain the choice of the SHOT show for apprehension of these felons wasn't "accidental". Gun owners now know the peril posed by the Obama regime ! >MW

This administration should know a bribe when it sees one. It uses them all the time.
