it's a rossi with the stamping on the barrel, made in brazil, Interarms,alexandria,virginia. excellent condition.

That sounds like an older Rossi (Interarms era). I don't think it would go for more than $100-$125.

At the risk of sounding like a liberal puke, value is relative.
If I didn't already own a fine American made Smith & Wesson revolver I might pay as much as $200 for a Rossi in excellent condition.
