Default S&W 19 Ammo

What ammo does your 19 like the best.

Ran several different loads thru mine today.
All 38 Spl Handloads and Factory.

Mine doesn't like 148 gr WC (2.4 gr bullseye)
Likes 158 gr SWC (3.7 gr bullseye)
Likes better 158 gr FMJ RNDN Winchester
Is the happiest with 120 gr JHP +P Federal 25 yds all in the 9 ring or better

I had one that was very accurate with 158 SWC, 38 spl. Also, 125 round nose 357, if I remember right. I always shot factory ammo, or factory loaded reloads.

I have some old Eagle (made by IMI) 125 gr jsp that are just spot on accurate out of my 19 snubbie. I swear these things would make Lee Jurras proud, they are hot. They are too hot for a regular diet out of the 19 so except for a cylinder full and a couple of Variant speedloaders they go in the N-Frames now.

Loading up some 148 gr LWC with 2.8 bullseye in mag cases today.

Looking for a good accurate target load for the 19 4"
