Hello, someone gave me a .357 rifle today, and I was wondering if someone could give me some info, like age, value, etc.
It says AMADEO ROSSI S.A. Model 92 SRC. it also says on it INTERARMS, ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA .38 SPL. -.357 MAG MADE IN BRASIL, the only number I can find on it is k 047253. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Rear sight's easy. Marbles. Costs around 50 bucks. Front sight, though is gonna be difficult. Front sight is made as part of the front barrel band. You can either try to find a replacement band, or have a dovetail cut in your barrel.

The dovetail peice is still on the barrel. Somebody put on peep sight and just slid the old open sights out of the dovetails in the barrel. What do you mean by Marbles for a rear sight.

Didn't think, until I saw your question, that someone might think I meant them round glass doobers. Marbles makes sights.
http://www.marblearms.com/ You've got a Saddle Ring Carbine that had a dovetailed front sight? Man, you lucked out. If the sight is missing, Marbles can sell you a replacement. Looks like I overpriced the rear sight. http://www.midwayusa.com/Search/#mar..._1-2-4_8-16-32

I've got a Rossi M92 SRC in .357 mag. that I got back in 1985 for $182.50. It's one of my favorite shooters. Very accurate and light to carry. The 16" barrel pushes 158 gr. .357's to about 1,800 fps, which is sufficient for deer out to 100 yards. Additionally, it will make an excellent home defense weapon in my opinion. If someone gave you one consider yourself lucky, they are highly sought after among the cowboy action shooters.
![]() ETA: Value is around $500 if in good condition.

These are the best Rossi 92s to have and are very hard to find. Made of much stronger steel than the soft steel of the original Winchester 92s. About 20 on the Rockwell scale. Mine is in .357 Mag & cycles & shoots like a dream. |
