Default Political postage

I got a card from one of my State reps, and the postage reads:

PRSRT STD
US POSTAGE PAID
WA STATE DEPT
OF PRINTING 98501

The zip code is that of our Capitol.

It would appear that my tax dollars are now paying postage for our elected officials propaganda.

Is that legal?

This has been going on since Ben Franklin had the mail (post) service, back when.

For official use only, no electioneering (unless it is pumping the sender's own message of just how great things are since ... )

Come to my town hall and learn how to get a government job for the most part.

So I gotsa 'D'bag rep, spending my taxes, on how to get employed by the folks that are destroying my state.

Nice!

If that's not 'electioneering', I don't know what is.

Speaking of political postage.

I heard that the Feds just spent a million dollars on a study as to why the new Barack Obama postage stamp was failing to adhere itself to envelopes when it was applied.

They discovered that everyone was spitting on the wrong side.

Sorry, Bobitis, I saw the target and I had to take the shot.

I think that it is considered the "Franking Privilege" which is available to all senators and representatives.

Campaigning is illegal. But bragging about everything you've done for the people is fine. You tell me the difference. Gives them a lot of public exposure at our expense.

THAT'S what I'm talking about.
Spin it any way you want at the taxpayers expense.

I've been Franked enough already.
Time to get rid of an archaic episode that has been abused for decades.

These folks are on OUR side?

When can we start burning witches again?

Edit: As Dbrodin has correctly pointed out below it should read Tuesday, not Thursday.
