Uh, Beth. ALL transactions between American citizens involving the mid-east are, in particular Iran, are monitored by the DHS. Gotta be careful, darlin'.

Seriously. Monetary transactions with an enemy of the State will be looked into. No matter the amount.

None of my business, at all, I know. Just sayin. Wish I knew a bit more.

You were buying a product off the net, and the product was being sold in Iraq/Iran?

Sorry, confused. One never knows where the funds are actually going, and what for.

Because you have doubts. If it were ol paranoid me, I'd make a call in the morning. If nothing results from it, no big deal. It's the oddest thing I've read here.

If nothing else, you'll demonstrate your willingness to speak to someone, and that can't hurt. If they do show an interest, give them the link to this threat too. It'll substantiate your confusion.

Now that I've got this far, and thought about it some more, yep, I'd make a call to your local FBI office. Trust me, they aren't the bogey-men.

May be nothing, but ya never know.

I do to. They have a 'protection ' plan.
Gotta admit, buying a light bulb, and winding up involved with Iraq, Iran and Kuwait involved, is a story for your personal history book. Bee-zarre.. fur sure.

There was a stupid scheme awhile back trying to get people to invest in Dinars, saying that when the war was over, their value would soar and the people who bought them now would be rich..

Yeah, right.

I'll tell ya what I find strangest of all. You buy, and your change is in mid-eastern currency. That's strange...

I'd hang onto it as provenance for my story, if it were me.

Good for you, Beth. From my limited experience, the 'I' will tend to show no interest, even if they are.

Look at the flip side. what if?...

Nope. There's more to it.

Be careful.

Iraq is not Kuwaiti. Their money exchange rate is not the same. I would bet the Iraq money is worth a few cent's. I think this is just a scam.

Ta-dah. The FBI told you to forget about it. Betting they didn't miss a beat putting it all on paper. Stay tuned.
