Default Media in the battle zone:

How much different the reporting is during the current action as compared to the stuff coming out of Nam during the war. The live footage does not allow the left wing networks anytime to suppress and twist the images to suit their bias and agenda. I like it! I only wish we could have had live feeds of some of the incidents where we took unwarranted flak and embarrassment because some editor with leftist/communist leanings tailored the images to suit his slanted ideas of the war. I watch Fox and then switch to CNN and see the same footage, but the accompanying dialogue is different, the CNN spin is aways either critical of or disparaging of the conduct of operations, while Fox just shows the images and you read into them your own conclusuions, if anything Fox seems pro active towards the militarys efforts, which I find refreshing in this age of one world-ism of the U.N.s stated purpose. Hard to argue points when the pictures tell the story. I hope that the Liberal anti,s and the "No war no matter the reason" types get a gullet full of reality, for as Dr.King once said:" The truth shall set you free!"

I sometimes think that no matter what truth is shown some people they have blinders on and will not see.

That being said I admit that I too think at times that this on the spot live coverage is far better than what we had during the Vietnam war.

Speaking from someone who was at home - I can say even though I was but a child and then a teenager duirng that time - it was very biased in most cases. The media was at that time using their favorite tactic to get ratings and people to watch their news show - if it bleeds it leads. They could of cared less to a great degree about anybody's suffering provided they were able to air the coverage they desired.

Looks to me like some news channels still wish to cater to the left while others (few though they may be) like to do what news reporting was originally meant to be and that is "just the facts."
