I have a Winchester, 30-30 Lever action Rifle Serial number located on the underside of the firing chamber which is; 16.820 The only other marking on the rifle is on the left side of the barrel close to the firing chamber which is;
30 30 win the blueing on this one is very good 90% or so , Works and fires nicely. The barrel is 21 1/4 in. Any help in finding age ore value will be appreciated.

Winchester model 1894, serial number 16820 was made in 1895. That's the first year the came in 30/30. A gun that old, however, should not be marked "30/30 Winchester". Back then it was called 30 Winchester Central Fire, or just 30 WCF. If your barrel is marked 30/30 Winchester, you either have given the wrong serial number or your barrel has been replaced.
