Might hit the local Save-A-Lot, but thats only cuz the idiots will be at wally worl. Went in a couple of years ago after the crowds went home to gaggle over thier newly aquired crap and the stuff was still there and still on sale. Bought a couple of things saved money on em and no crowds. Missed the door busters opps. You couldn't drag me in any store that participates on Friday mornin less I was dead.
What I want to know is when and why did Black Friday become the holiday and not Thanksgiving?

i've been wavering back and forth about trying to do any black friday shopping or not.. but may begrudgingly venture out to dicks sporting goods and maybee harbor freight..

I do my best to avoid all stores from Thanksgiving to the end of the year. It's not just the crowds inside the store; it's everyone in the parking lot doing their best impersonation of the biggest @$&%*#~ the world has ever seen.

I'm willing to pay more and wait three days to get something online. If I have to go to a store, I do it after 10:00 PM. I just don't want to be in those crowds among everyone being so self-centered (in the name of "gift giving," no less ).

Last week I eyed a mint model 29 at local gunstore that keeps calling my name. If it is still there tomorrow good chance it will come home with me

I might actually do black Friday tomorrow online for the first time...I want a 24" LED tv for the kitchen, might actually try a refurbished one.

my plans for tomorrow have changed. since it will be 20* with a NNW 25mph wind blowing right in our faces in the blind we are pushing it back to saturday. then on saturday after the hunt I'm heading to Ace hardware. they have a dozen mallards for $25 and I have a coupon for 50%off for saturday only. I may have to get another coupon and send wife in later

the khols over near our dick's looked like a car sales lot.
people parked behind other people.. in drive thru's.. on the grass and median.. and they populated a closed down KFC's parking area too. was nasty looking

Great price on that gun. I past one up just like it for $795 and regreted it. I think the 44-40 caliber scares people, but it can be found on line and if you are not going to shoot it, it don't matter anyway.

Sure 68, wimp out on a good hunt. I didn't wimp out on my plans. I drove to Cabela's on Black Friday and walked across the parking lot enduring the wind. I had the hot coffee that they provided, and enjoyed the food samples while handling quite a few firearms. Then we went to Staples, Best Buy, Office Depot, Fred Meyers, and of course Wally World. You don't see me backing away from the chilling winds.
