Re: m1 carbine
the one my wife hunts with is an inland GM prewar. I put a boyds stock on it and a millet reddot, Her deer and hog load is a 90 gr XTP over 16 gr of H110. Its good for about 2300 fps from the carbine barrel and shoots nice 1.5 inch groups at 50 yds. Awesome for a carbine, and the bullets expand to nearly 3/4 inch in diameter out to 100 yds in a barrel of water... I aint never recovered one from a deer or a hog though, They pass through.
It takes 43 muscles to frown, 17 to smile, and 3 for proper trigger squeeze.
The latest caliber or gear is no substitute for experience and skill. Rifles and cartridges don't make hits -- shooters do.
