Why are Political treads being moved from...

the General Discussion to the Feedback forum? I posted in general then I go back to check the post and the threads gone.
That's almost like rearangeing the furniture on Helen Keller to some of us who have to dust off the cob webs on some of our brain cells.

THE FIRE FOR EFFECT and TOTALLY POLITICALLY INCORRECT FORUM has become the depository for any political discussion whether it's necessarily a rant, politically incorrect or not. The only complaint I have about that is that no one views that forum. I would venture to bet that all but a scant few know it's there. Oh well...

I may have a minority opinion on this subject but it does not bother me if my posts are moved to the fire for effect forum....

I would however be dissapointed if they were moved to member feeback. THats as bad a fate as member test forum.

I would be nice if the fire for effect forum were located much closer to the top near the general discussion forum so it wouldn't be near the bottom and not so easily forgotten when looking for subforums....

While I appreciate, that I'm sure in the best of intentions, you are all trying to keep the Forum orderly and neat; it may, perhaps be counter-productive.

If I were to start a thread on the proper starting load for a 38 special 125 JHP, I think we all would agree where that thread belongs.

However, if I wanted to start a thread on "the shredding of our bill of rights in order for a more secure society" I think an argument could be made for General, RKBA, or Politically incorrect.

If it's a borderline issue, such as I described above, may I humbly suggest the threads stay where they lay.
In order to keep with the spirit of the the threads author's intent.

Please take my constructive critizism as I mean it. Respectfull and Constructive.

Its too heavily engrained in me to drift.... The GPS in the car has on occasion been impatient with me.....

Getting back to the original question:

I think the posts in question were intended to be moved to the Fire For Effect forum and were accidentally dropped off one forum too early. I have moved the posts to the Fire For Effect forum.

The description of The Fire For Effect and Totally Politically Incorrect Forum says:
If You Want To Vent/Bitch About Anything, Get Something Off Your Mind, And/Or Express Your Political, Concerns, Gripes, A Different Slant, Share And/Or Offer A Different Point Of View, Then This Is The Place To Do It. NOTE: No Personal Attacks!
(emphasis added)

We chose to assign political discussions to Fire For Effect because sometimes General Discussion got so filled up with political posts that it was hard to find the true "general" posts. Also, political posts have a tendency to get heated at times, and we prefer to keep General Discussion more laid-back.

The "politically incorrect" part of the forum title was meant to be taken tongue-in-cheek. We all get so tired of "political correctness" run rampant that it seemed only fair to provide a place where we could say what we felt, even if it wasn't "politically correct". Therefore, the founders of TFF added the "totally politically incorrect" comment to the forum title.
