How about a CaspianArms frame? I recently posted that I wanted to build a 1911 and was wondering what kind of frame to get... I checked their website out and I like what I see, any comments?

I have not heard anything bad about them.
Know quite a few people that built their 1911s using a Caspian frame.

I see some Caspian frames in IPSC. They are very strong. However, I don't think you buy a Caspian frame & "drop-in a lot of parts. Most are all custom fitted, which is why they work so well.

Doublestar Manufacturing sells frames for 1911's.
I own one of their complete 1911A1's and I love it. Good fit all around, great performance and accuracy. I has fed every type of 45 acp I've tried flawlessly.

The parts will drop in but most are hand fitted for better accuracy and reliability. Thats the fun part of building your own 1911.
