MY HUSBAND HAS COME TO OBTAIN A 22 PISTOL AND WE WERE WONDERING IF YOU COULD TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND ABOUT HOW MUCH IT COULD BE WORTH? IT HAS A I.J. TARGET SEALED 8 ON THE TOP AND SERIAL NUMBER N 655 ON BOTTOM OF TRIGGER CASE. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP YOU MAY OFFER. SANNER

the iver johnson's arms & cycle works 'I J Target Sealed 8' was manufactured between 1932 and 1954. first model 1932-1941 has an octagon barrel and the second model 1946-1954 has a round barrel. this revolver serial number N655 is a second model and it was manufactured approx. 1951. there were approx. 18,000 manufactured that year.
