I saw a nurse in faded red, white, and blue write POW-MIA on your forehead in bright red marker with all the reverence and contempt of branding you with a scarlet A. And you, wandering the dusty halls of the cerebellum, paid no heed. You were not John Wayne. You were not Audie Murphy. You failed and we lost. This wasn't in the script. We couldn't scold you for doing your best but we couldn't praise you as the conquering hero either. I thought of you the other day, but it was ALL wrong. Glad you liked it. Thanks Bree IF YOU VALUE YOUR FREEDOM, THANK A VET! TShooters V.I.P. Would really love for you to tell us about him, if you can. You have a great talent, Gal! Keep writing! Sharon Mesen V.I.P. You may have read the post I wrote about the trip he made from St. Louis MO to Columbus GA pulling a bamboo tiger cage in protest to Clinton granting trade rights back to VN. This was in 96 I believe. He also wrote a book about his trip. He also suffers from PTSD which is why I admire pari so for her perserverance with Jer. I just didn't have the strength to do what was needed I guess. He is now the president of one of the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Clubs in GA. He still perserveres in his cause. We did raise money for the POW Museum they opened in 1998. Got my name on a plaque on a wall there and will probably never det to see it. Oh well. Bree IF YOU VALUE YOUR FREEDOM, THANK A VET! While I was in DC, there was a man inside of a bamboo cage, I went up closer to him because I remembered what you had said about your ex husband doing something similar, there a woman talking with him and I didn't want to be rude, so I simply wrote his name down - I forget it for now, but I will check for it when I get home. Always Faithful
