Default American Ammo ever heard of it???

American Ammo Corporation, Miama Florida, American Ammo, made in America, by Americans! Im told they sell large quanities to the Us Govt, and other countries.

I bought a case of 45 Ammo today at the gunshow for $69, has anyone tried this ammo? Can't beat the price!

I have a box of American 32 ACP I bought at a local shop a couple years ago.
Shot up about 1/2 of it. No problems with it.

I bought some in 9MM and .45acp its nothing to trust your life or shoot IDPA with .But other than several flyers to a box its not bad,I havent shot but a couple hundred rounds of it.So I could not recommend it,but let me know what you think.

Best!!

I've fired a few hundred rounds in 9mm and .357/38. No problems with my weapons.

I bought 50 rounds of it today at a Muzzle Loading Show for $7.95.
32acp for my Colt 1903 M-model.
I told the guy I bought it from that I was going to shoot it out of a gun that turned 100 years old this year. He said it wouldn't be a problem.

How many rounds in a case of 45acp.?

As I posted in the other thread, don't know about shooting it, but it's more or less non-reloadable in .45 ACP. I picked up a little at the range in the summer and never could get it to load properly...It bulges really bad when a bullet is seated and therefore won't chamber properly. When I discovered this, I did a little forum searching and found that it was well known for it's lack of reloadability.

Pa I have shot several hundred rounds (OK a few thousand 1000) of American Ammo in 45acp & 38spec
never a problem in any gun I shot it out of not nearly as many flyers as some here said they had. I do shoot it as a plinking ammo only not as match nor would it be my 1st choice as a defense load. no problems with the 38 spec in the reloading dept but have heard that there are some that have problems with the 45 acp in the reloading area.I still have to shoot up some 45's so i will have the space to put my reloaded 45acp. but I have a few 100 American cases to try.
And for 69 dollars a case i would buy a couple more cases it has gone to 80 or 90 a case around here.

Ya learn something every day . . . . I clicked on this post thinking it would be about the *old* American Ammunition Company which produced rimfire types circa 1870 - 1880 only to discover the name has been resurrected in different form.

I've had good luck with it in everything except my target revolver. Had to tighten up the hammer spring in it because the primers were harder than the reloads I use in competition. Other than that, and it was not a real issue, I liked it fine.

Try chamfering the cases before you seat the bullets.I've found the same problem in lots of different brands of brass.

I have shot quite a bit of it over the past 5 years or so. Better than Wolf,
not quite as good as UMC or Winn. White box. Overall decent range ammo.

I had one box of .45's 2-3 years ago with 7 primers that were in backwards.

My buddy that reloads for a several LEO agencies will not reload their cases.
He says they are too inconsistant.
