Just dandy. I just tripped over a pile of money when I went to answer the phone.

OK, not quite that dandy, but doing fine.

Pretty well now... I don't totally understand why but business is booming and I'm not complaining.

Since my wife's work is tied almost directly to my employers' success she's doing good as well.

We would be doing GREAT, if all these bills wouldn't keep coming in every month.

We are OK here.

I'm employed at a firm that does work for oil and gas clients. As long as Obama is in office, that entire industry is going to see tough times. I can say this...the majors with US Gulf of Mexico assets are selling off more than 70% of their systems. There is plenty of fear in what this administration is capable of doing and since share holders pay the bills, they need to protect those investors. Which is wise since "big oil" is you, me, the little old laying living off of dividends, and just about anyone with a diversified 401K. The proper stimulus package would have included an Obama resignation and a balanced congress. Do that and see how fast the economy turns around.

My wife and I are doing fine and nothing to complain about. Even my house here where I live has done well in keeping its value because of the area. I am hoping that Obama does not mess with the capital gains tax on homes so I can retire, sell it off and use the money in another state.

Just bought a 36yr old, 20ft travel trailer. Roof doesn't leak, furnace works, & my 95' pickup should be able to tow it ok.

Things could be worse..... I could be a homeless, pennyless alcoholic w/o a travel trailer or any firearms...... (He's asleep on the floor in our living room cuz it's 26F)

Yeah..... things could be worse.

cant complain especially when i see others

could be better but have decent savings and a government pension of just on a grand a month

business is way down from a year ago but it got ok again just before Christmas so i have hopes it will pick up again

sold my car and bike ( ford Cobra and harley FLH ) to finance my business and have not replaced them yet, but not really worried about that, just miss them but i'm way better keeping my little investments than buying stuff i dont really need right now

i got some real good advice from a mates dad a few years ago and its seen me go from real worried to knowing it could be worse

I have been unemployed since May 8th 2009.
I am a technical school student.
I am personally broke.

Good news is, my wife still has a job. The medical lab she manages has, at this point, made under $10,000 less this year than it had last year at this time which is better than was expected. No layoffs expected there!

I'm 40 years old and have payed enough into unemployment insurance that I don't feel guilty yet. Probably won't until after I get my diploma. About time I get something from an investment!

Paying my bills, putting food on the table and gas in the car. Actually I'm doing pretty good. I'm just so glad I decided to stay in the Navy for 22 yrs. Without those benefits I'd be in financial trouble.

I would imagine that that market would be doing well, as people will decide to hold onto their older car for longer, seeing that the economy is in such shambles. It will probably continue to do well.

Well i have laid off workers and down to one crew. And that crew has not worked now in 5 weeks. EVERYONE I know in business is sucking wind. This is not a F'ING JOKE. Even the big pocket contractors are not finding anyting. You guys that think it could get worse, watch out its gona. I guess nothing will happen till a good percentage of americans dont get a paycheck for 4 or 5 weeks. Can any of you imagine that? Cause its a realaity for many people I know. Accounts receivable in 75 days. How long do you think that can go on? Dont know if Home Depot can hire all of us loosers. Dont think they have enough positions.

Now dont get your panties in a bunch when i say this but I can't wait till everone is in the same boat. Not that I wish bad times on anybody. But then something might just change. I guess there are not enough of us in the piss off mode.

Things could be worse. My retirement funds dissapeared, but at least I was able to find a job, so we are not homeless or starving.

I put sucking fumes. I am doing good personally, but not at all where I want to be. I don't think I could afford to move out anytime soon, I am pretty confident half the two grand I have saved is going to car repair bills soon too.

I could not tell you what my plan was exactly, but after investing over 100 grand in my education, I did not plan on delivering pizza for minimum wage, working for high-school dropouts. I mean, back in high-school I was making $11.50 with one of the largest concrete companies in the area. Why the fu*k did I go to school?

EDIT: So yea, doing fine, but living at home. I finally took on car insurance in January, but that is my only bill I cover (and a lot of my food expenses since working every night kind of interferes with family dinner plans).

Wife & I are both RNs, so we both have a job & the money is OK. We still live paycheck to paycheck & I am able to stock up on supplies every so often. Holding on, but things could certainly be worse.
