I'm not too sure that what I have to say fits with the idea poised by Jack404.......

I fear that Israel will be the instigator of the next great conflagration in the middle east..They definitely have nukes and are the most likely nation to use them.....Islam won't leave the Israelis alone and sooner or later things are going to burn.....

I don't think prophecies describe what is really going to happen...

No one will admit it , but a large number of nukes from the collapsed Soviet Union are scattered all over the world in the hands of crazies who will sooner or later use them.

Jack....I don't know if they will do a preemptive strike with a nuke, but rest assured they will use one if they feel the need to retaliate in a big way......I can't say I blame them considering what they endure to remain a nation.....

Irregardless of why they might choose to use a nuke the outcome will be catastrophic......Perhaps the prelude to the apocalypse that many believe is coming.....That is why I said what I said.....

I am sympathetic with Israel, but it is the hot spot of the middle east.....I did not intend to make anyone angry or defensive.....It is just an opinion based on a scary feeling I have about that part of our planet.

I remember watching on TV as Israel was being targeted by SCUD missiles, and did NOTHING to retaliate due to the US asking them to be passive while WE handled the missiles. Israel has always exercised great restraint, never doing more than absolutely necessary to protect themselves, and I doubt that policy will change. Look at a map of the region; what country is most likely to be obliterated if a nuclear war starts?

On the other side - on ALL sides, actually - the Arab nations have no problem whatsoever with shelling and bombing civilians, schools, busses, houses of worship, etc. They do not know the definition of 'restraint'.

IF Israel ever uses a nuclear bomb - and that is a HUGE "if" - it will be only after every other effort to preserve themselves has failed.
