New Chat Room, again - The Firearms Forum

We're testing another chat room. The previous one was a little busy and had too many ads.

This new one is the basic version. If it works out and people like it, we will step up to the next level, which will have more features.

I've never been able to access any of the versions.
I got the Java. What's the next step?

I got the Java already.
Do I need to download the chat software as well?

Have you tried to update the Java? I'm really just thinking out loud here as I have no clue what the problem may be, but thats where I'd start...

I have never found anyone there...
I always get on with ease. I don't think I have a JAVA applet processor,

I couldn't access tha last room either. Someone suggested I try a different browser. I didn't at that time, but I did just now.
I chose Firefox, logged in, clicked on chat, and got completely kicked off the internet. BAMM!

Not back to a home page or anything like that. OFF!
Back to the main screen on my PC.

Grrrr......

Bobitis, Like I say, I have no clue, but I'd still try to go to their site and find a way to update it first (couldn't hurt) then hopefully someone will check in here who knows a little more about it.

Bizy, we've been trying to set up scheduled chat times so watch the forum for updates... I didn't get to attend last Fri, nor will I be able to check in this Fri, but the last couple weeks before that we had a good turn out on Fri night @ 7:00PM CST.

Bobitis, do you have any security software running that blocks scripts from running? You may need to set a specific exception for the site that hosts the chat room.

I tried chess when I was younger, kind of enjoyed it, I guess I should try it again someday... I know they have some on-line interactive games and stuff that would probably be an entertaining way to kill an evening.
