I am considering buying a Century G3 and would like to hear from anyone that can give me info on them. Any tuning needed like the Cetmes or any known problems? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Here's the one I had for a little over a year...Probably only put three hundred rounds through it... but no problems to speak of...kicked hard, but the rubber butt pad took a lot of the sting out...LOUD as Hell!...so wear ear protection....308 rules!!!...next to the -06!...

I have had about 33% return rate on the CETME rifles, but I understand the G3's are built on a different, more upscale receiver. Hopefully they put a little more care in the assembly and fitting.
Once the CETME is tweaked into running right, they are nice rifles so I would imagine the G3 would be no different. For what its worth, I have not seen/heard many complaints about the G3 as we do the CETME.

Thanks for the input. I should have a G3 in about a week so I will let you know how she does once I have a chance to take her to the range.

Well I got the G3 and finally got a chance to shoot it. Unfortunately it has some feed problems which sound like what I have heard about the Cetmes. I have heard you can polish the feed ramp and rails to help. Any suggestions on the best way to do this or any other advise would be appreciated. Right now the bolt doesn't go all the forward on at least every second or third round. Also it is very hard to pull the bolt back and cock most of the time. Thanks in advance for any advise.

IS65, Sorry to hear your having trouble with it. Like I said, I never had any problem with the "Cetme" clone that I received...guess I got lucky...

Thanks Smokin. Hopefully I'll be able to get it tuned and working properly soon because I really like the rifle.
