Default bullet depth help

Ok so i loaded my first batch of shells last night feel very confident wiyh every thing but seating depth so heres how it went .
empty casing and bullet seated in chamber
bullet measured
bullet seated with die .003 shorter
will this be ok i know i read this some where on here couldnt find it last night

For general hunting and range ammo its best to start .015-.030 off the lands until youve established a safe accurate load, then adjust the seating depth in and out until you find the rifles preference.

This is one reason I love loading for Weatherby's. The freebore makes all this a headache and a half.

Yep. cant say Im a huge fan of the trademark weatherby leade. The barrel may say its 24 inches but only 23 of it is rifled..
