Anyone have any experience with a Taurus PT 101 AF...o'course in .40 cal...Not too worried about the caliber, just curious about the reliability, accuracy and longevity of said shooters...?...

I had a Taurus PT99 and eventually gave it to my son. The only problem I ever had with it was the sight (adjustable). Kept falling off during shooting. It hapened twice. Taurus fixed it once then I fixed it forever.
Most of you guy probably already know this but the Taurus "92" style guns are made on Beretta equipment in South America that was left behind by Beretta when they finished a military contract there. The guns are as nice as any Italian or USA made Beretta I have ever seen. only the surface finish on the Beretta models is perhaps different but not necessarily better. Taurus's are good guns. Smookin' guns:
I built up the area on the rear sight aperature with weldment where the mounting screw went through. I did this probably ten years ago and used the pistol myself without the sight ever falling off again. LDBennett |
