OK, so the old 12 ga. ain't worth much to anybody but me. Thanks for the help. Next gun: Model 94 30-30 with long octogon barrel; Serial 83069- bluing is pretty well worn off and the stock was scraped down in the '60's and linseed oiled. Barrel is a bit worn but still shoots well and the action is sound. I put some rounds through it a few years ago but it is WAY to heavy for hunting. Any Idea on value?

The gun is inscribed "Model 1894 Winchester"-next line says "Patented August 21, 1894. Also stamped "nickel steel barrel especially for smokeless powder" Correction on serial # 83061. Barrel approx. 25". Barrel is stamped "30 w.c.f." just ahead of receiver. Has concave butt with steel butt plate. That's as much as I can find stamped on the piece.

Give us the serial # again. 83069- gives a manufacture date of 1918. 83061 gives a manufacture date of 1897 and commands a premium of 30%.
Blue Book value is: 95% - $1675 90% - $1350 80% - $1150 70% - $925 60% - $850 Add 30%-60% for deluxe models, depending on original condition Add 20% for takedown variation Add 30% for 1894-98 antique mfg. (pre-148,000 ser. no.) |

Morning XTRACER;
Definetely Serial # 83061. Have had that number memorized since I was a little kid, always had a love for the old gun. I will certainly continue to keep the old girl in the gun safe & locked. |
