Just wondering if anyone has picked up one of those new S&W 500's yet... if so, how is it? That thing looks like a beast and I'm droolin' like a puppy for one!

Welcome to TFF Geccoman!
We've sold 3 of them so far, and each and every one of them begged me to take them home, but unfortunately I didn't have the $900 to pick it up. The customers we sold them to said they really liked them, and the recoil wasn't that bad. I'm just waiting for a used one to come in so that I can test fire it to make sure that it works right ![]() |

i dont know, maybe i should find out about how much your allowed, I have a C&R, ill check in the law books they sent me. The 45-70 case is wider at bottom, so you will have to cut it down to size, im not sure.

I was at a local S&W dealer yesturday, and he told me that he has 4 customer's with deposits on those S&W 500 Magnums, and he hasn't been able to fill one order yet.
He's starting to get pissed with S&W over it, especially since in Jersey the customer has to obtain a pistol purchasers permit that is only valid for 90 days, and 3 of these orders are older than 90 days.

All-new case for the .500 S&W.
You might be thinking of the .454 Casull, which is a shortened .45-70 case. |
